Tserendorj Street Redevelopment project starts in Ulaanbaatar

Public work in the city centre dispels rumours of 40K building to be destroyed. As the city of Ulaanbaatar launches a large redevelopment of the city centre area projects, the 40K area is set to keep up its price appreciation.

As part of the 2020 Master Plan project for Ulaanbaatar ambitious redevelopment works are planned for many of the city’s public spaces, including the banks of the Selbe River and Tserendorj Street, the central boulevard between the State Department Store and Circus.

On Friday 13th May redevelopment of Tserendorj Street was initiated amidst a ceremony that brought together the District Governor, Government officials and local residents. The first four paving stones were laid near to the iconic Beatles statue built by B. Danzan.

Plans for Tserendorj Street involve expanding and repaving the entire boulevard as well as installing new fountains, street lighting and seating.
