Win 1 of 3 Taffy 'Plus +++' CDs

Taffy return with 'Plus +++' out on June 23rd via Club AC30 Records

"The Breeders are reincarnated via Tokyo with feedback and gossamer female vocals" The Times
"Hooks that grab you and refuse to be shaken off" Clash
"Blows the cobwebs off all the '90s revivalist naysayers." NME
"Finely executed indie pop" Music OMH

Hailing from the suburbs of Tokyo, the ferocious quartet Taffy return with their intoxicating compilation album 'Plus +++' out on Club AC30 Records on June 23rd. Following their critically acclaimed second album 'Lixiviate' and a recent UK tour with The Wedding Present, Taffy are establishing themselves as a firm favourite on the UK scene.

'Plus+++' is a kaleidoscope of fuzzed-up shoegaze pop gems offering up an unforgiving slice of indie. The lush sweet-pop vocals on 'tune in a jar' and 'jolly orange' against the full throttle bass, turbulent guitars and raucous percussion are as charming as their titles suggest. Cinematic love song, 'kms' boasts a powerfully hypnotic rhythm section reminiscent of John Murphy (28 Days Later).

Originally a B-side to single 'Flower Chain', 'theron' captures vintage indie melancholy, channelling the spirit of Ride and Slowdive, setting the distortion to maximum. 'Uriseas', taken from their debut Salt Water, is a relentless odyssey of heavy guitars and the upbeat 'have u?' has a sunny and seductive disposition.

This catchy compilation packs a speedy forty minutes with nostalgic indie but its Taffy's infectious combination of punk, grunge and shoegaze that makes them stand out from the crowd.

Grabbing a legion of fans along the way, their energetic performances have included Madame JoJo's 'White Heat' and Shepherd's Bush Empire along with Play Time festival in Mongolia and regular sell-out gigs in Tokyo.
