Chinese Tibetologist delegation visits Mongolia for religious exchanges

ULAN BATOR, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese Tibetologist and Living Buddha delegation Monday visited Mongolia to boost bilateral religious exchanges, and left the country on Tuesday morning after the trip.

During the visit, the delegation held meetings with Mongolian officials and religious leaders, as well as experts of the Institute for Strategic Studies of Mongolia.

They also visited the local main Buddhist monasteries and exchanged views over religious issues with monks there.

The delegation and Mongolian religionists conducted extensive and profound exchanges over a variety of issues including Tibetan history, culture, and economic and social development.

The exchanges had contributed to the exchanges and friendship between China and Mongolia, the delegation said.
