UNDER SECRETARY OF DEFENSE JAMES MILLER VISITS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A delegation led by Dr. James N. Miller, the Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Policy of the USA paid an official visit to Mongolia on May 4-5, 2012.
Accompanied by David Helvey, a Principal Director, East Asia at Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Asian and Pacific Security Affairs, Mr. Miller has held a meeting with J.Enkhbayar, the Defense Minister of Mongolia for sharing issues on the Mongolia-US relations and cooperation in the defense sector. Present at these meetings were S.Baasankhuu, the Vice Minister of Defense; Liutenant-General Ts.Togoo, the State Secretary of the Defense Ministry; Lieutenant-General Ts.Byambajav, head of the General Headquarters of Mongolia's Armed Forces (GHMAF); Major-General D.Myagmar, a military advisor to the Defense Minister; Major-General Ya.Choijamts, a department head of the Defense Ministry; Mr. Jonathan Addleton, the US Ambassador to Mongolia; and other officials.
After the meeting, the two sides have called a press conference to media on the visit's results.
