UB CITY AND ESSEN TO COOPERATE IN HEALTH SPHERE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ An agreement on cooperation in the health sphere between two cities has been signed by a Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, G.Monkhbayar and a Mayor of German Essen Reinhard Pass on 8th May in Ulaanbaatar.

This agreement has established on a basis of a "Joint declaration on a partnership cooperation between Mongolia and Germany" issued on September 5 in 2008. The sides will implement joint projects in treatment, first aid services spheres.

Before inking the agreement, G.Monkhbayar received representatives of Essen city. He said Ulaanbaatar has already been cooperating with Germany in renewing sewage plant, relocating beavers in order to protect the river Tuul eco system. "According to this project, we will now make the health service more efficient," he added.

Joint group has been conducting a post-haemorrhage treatment which was introduced in the USA in 2006. The representatives of Essen got familiarized with First and Second polyclinics and considered that a chance inhand to cooperate not only in hygiene but also in other sectors.
