INT'L CONFERENCE ON ENERGY SECTOR IN MONGOLIA TO BE HELD

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ An international conference themed "Mongolian Power-2012: Sustainable energy-investment-technology" will start on Tuesday in Ulaanbaatar city.

With purposes to introduce the policy and goals of the Mongolia's energy sector, to attract foreign and domestic investments to the sector and to support the cooperation in the sector, the two-day conference is organized by the Mongolian Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy. Participants will discuss issues on a present situation of the energy sector in Mongolia, investment and legal environments for the sector.

The Mongolian leading corporations of energy sectors, governments and key policy-makers including prime minister of Mongolia are expected to participate in it as speakers and presenters. It also will bring together delegates of some 90 foreign and domestic organizations such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the German Agency for International Cooperation (GTZ), UNDP, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), MCS International, New Com Groups, Hythro Power Corporation Ltd, Mitsui and other entities.
