GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT GOES UP

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in term of the national production reached MNT 2,277.4 billion at a current price, MNT 980.2 billion at 2005 constant price in the first quarter of 2012, went up by 30.2 per cent at current price and by 16.7 per cent at constant price against 2011.


The national consumer price index this April increased by 0.5 per cent against the previous month, by 8.2 per cent against the beginning of the year, and by 16.0 per cent against same period of 2011. This happened due to 0.7 per cent increase in food and non-alcoholic beverages and 2.0 per cent in clothing, footwear and fabrics.
