FOREIGN MINISTRY REPORTS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ At the 3166th meeting held on May 14, the Foreign Ministerial Council of the European Union (EU) backed a matter on establishing a Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Mongolia and the EU, and then decided to sign it.

It was reported on Wednesday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.

On Wednesday, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs B.Batkhishig received Mr. Viktor Burya, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China and Non-Resident Ambassador to Mongolia.

They exchanged views on ways of activating the Mongolia-Belarus relations, and emphasized that an opportunity exists to restore the traditional ties in many spheres such as agriculture, mining and education. The sides considered as necessity to forward the bilateral relations and cooperation and to set up the intergovernmental commission.

The same day, Mr. Batkhishig received Ch.Gantulga, who has been appointed honorary consul of Hungary to Mongolia, and granted him the exequatur.
