Woman, 25, Mongolia: Feels guilty about widowed father living alone
My husband and I are doing well. We are living with my mother-in-law and our daughter. But my father is living alone now. My mother died two years ago. I want to live with him but my father’s house isn’t comfortable in terms of water and heating.
We don’t have money to buy a new house. I want to work and buy a house, but my daughter is 5 months old now, and my mother-in-law doesn’t want me to work. Until she retires in two years, I am fine with staying at home with my daughter, but my father is 60 years old. He is cooking, and cleaning his clothes himself. If I worked I would have to hire a babysitter. It will cost half of my salary.
