UB MAYOR MEETS LITHUANIAN DELEGATION UB MAYOR MEETS LITHUANIAN DELEGATION

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city G.Monkhbayar received on Tuesday a delegation led by Mr Daumantas Lapinskas, the Vice-Minister of Economy of Lithuania.

Mr. Lapinskas highlighted that the Republic of Lithuania wants to expand the ties with not only with western countries, but also with those his country has traditional relations with, including Mongolia. He pointed out that a big business delegation, headed by the leader of the Chamber of Business Development, has arrived in Mongolia.

The Mayor got acquainted with a composition of the business delegation and said the two countries have big opportunities to cooperate in many spheres such as an international tender for founding a garbage recycling plant.

Mongolia and Lithuania established the diplomatic relations in 1992. As of present, the bilateral trade turnover is about USD 16-17 million.
