TS.ELBEGDORJ RECEIVES KYRGYZSTAN PM

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In frames of his official visit, the State Head Ts.Elbegdorj received on Tuesday Mr. Omurbek Babanov, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan.


The Kygyz PM expressed satisfaction with widening of the bilateral relations. "You are one of the pioneers of democracy in Mongolia as well as a struggler against corruption. We want to study Mongolia's experience in on court reform, in establishing justice, in combating a corruption and bribes," Mr. Babanov said. He also noted that Kyrgyzstan intends to alter the law on mineral resources and asked Ts.Elbegdorj to send experts to Kyrgyzstan for this work.

In response, the President said Mongolia, who is ready to share its democratic experience with Kyrgyzstan, plans to set up a special fund for the countires who are newly entering the democratic system. Mongolia will support Kyrgyzstan in a scope of this fund, he said.

After the meeting with the PM, the State Head and accompanying him delegation held an expanded meeting with the cabinet members of Kyrgyzstan. Mr. Elbegdorj thanked the Kyrgyz governmental officials for the warm audience. He said that developing of the bilateral relations during this visit "depends on legal and governmental structures", and added that Mongolia wants to host the intergovernmental meeting.

He conveyed to Mr.Babanov an invitation from the Mongolian PM S.Batbold "to come and to chair the intergovernmental meeting".

"I hope that the signed documents on the cooperation will be realized fruitfully," Ts.Elbegdorj said, adding that the two countries can cooperate in the education sector and to develop the business and inter-citizen ties.

The Kyrgyz PM said he will study a chance to visit Mongolia for chairing the intergovernmental meeting.
