PRESIDENT DELIVERS SPEECH AT BUNDESTAG
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In a scope of the state visit, the President Ts.Elbegdorj delivered a speech at a meeting of the Bundestag on March 30.
The President said that the invitation, given to him by Germany's parliament to deliver speech at its meeting, is an expression of Germany's attaching a great importance to the relations and cooperation with Mongolia. The President confirmed that the Federal Republic of Germany is a close partner of Mongolia.
At the meeting, speeches were also delivered by Eduard Oswald, a vice-president of the Bundestag; P. Malzahn, a vice-president of the German Society for Foreign Policy; and K.Ruk, a deputy head of the Christian Democratic Union's group at the Bundestag. They have underlined that a prestige of Mongolia has been increasing at international arena thanks to strengthening of the democracy, abolishing the capital punishment, and participation in the UN peacekeeping operations.
