MONGOLIA AND TURKEY HOLD CONSULTATIVE MEETING

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Mongolia and the Republic of Turkey has concluded a current situation of the bilateral relations at the 3rd consultative meeting that ran between their Ministries of Foreign Affairs last Friday in Ankara city, Turkey.

The countries have exchanged views and information on increasing a volume of the political relations, realizing projects such as creating a tourism complex and a model agricultural co-operative in the economic sector, opening direct flights Istanbul--UB city, and on a participation in the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia.

The sides reached agreements on the 7th meeting of the Mongolia-Turkey trade and economic joint committee, on multi-lateral cooperation, on mutual visits in 2012-2014. They also agreed to host the next consultative meeting in 2014 in Ulaanbaatar.

This year's consultative meeting was co-chaired by B.Batkhishig, the State Secretary of Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and by Hayri Hayret Yalav, a director-general of the Turkish Foreign Ministry Department of Central Asia, Caucasia and Eastern European Affairs. It brought together O.Ochirjav, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Turkey; Sh.Odonbaatar, a director of Mongolia's Foreign Ministry Department of Europe; Hayrie Kumaschiolu Doonan, a deputy director of the Department of Central Asia, Caucasia and Eastern European Affairs; Ozturk Yilmaz, a head of the Central Asian Division; and other diplomats from the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

At the meeting, the head of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed to his Turkish counterpart Mr. Ahmet Davutoglu an invitation to visit Mongolia with a visit.
