Ministry checks coal transportation
The Ministry of Social Welfare and Labor has recently checked 13 organizations’ activity of coal transportation through Shiveekhuren and Gashuunsukhait border points in Umnugobi aimag.
Minister T.Gandi reported about checking at the Government meeting on Wednesday. She stated that organizations that transport coal have both progresses and disadvantages. Professional organizations should check detailed monitoring of labor security and social welfare at the companies that employ foreign workers.
Specially, organizations should check coal transport from Tsogttsetsii soum to border point Gashuunsukhait, she noted.
T.Gandi mentioned to amend legislation of foreign workers’ employment, checking their works, increasing accountability of foreign workers who violate legislation and not giving work permission if they violate the laws.
She suggested that foreign workers should pay social insurance fees, Economic Crime Department should be expanded to Economic Crime Police Office and number of employees of social insurance and labor issue to be added.
Besides, the minister said that drivers of heavy trucks at Oyutolgoi and Tavantolgoi mining should be trained at special training.
