The Minister proposes extend timetable some public utilities
The Minister of Environment and Tourism D.Tsogtbaatar sent a proposal to the Ulaanbaatar City Mayor G.Munkhbayar and Head of City representative Khural T.Bilegt on extend timetable of some public utilities in Ulaanbaatar during summer time.
The Minister’s a proposal related to the tourist season.
“Some countries organized a special show for tourist in night time or late evening. This year is going to held big events like Olympic games in London and UEFA championship. Mongolia’s time difference from European countries is 5-7 hours. Sport funs will be difficult to watch their games. By the City Representatives Khural’s resolution dated by January 27, 2012, food markets, restaurants, pubs closing at 12.00 noon, café and coffee shops at 10.00 pm. This timetable restricting tourists possibility to get relax and earn money for local businesses” said in his proposal.
By the survey 95 percent of tourist coming to Mongolia spent at least one day in Ulaanbaatar. Last year total 626993 tourists visited Mongolia compared to the 2010 increased by 12,4 percent and income of tourist sector reached $283 million compared 2010 increased by 21 percent.
