ABOUT "KHALKH GOL" PROJECT
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry T.Badamjunai gave a report to the cabinet meeting on Wednesday on a course of the “Khalkh gol” project and on works to develop land farming in western aimags.
According to him, some investments have been made by the biggest national enterprisers in the land farming and intensified animal husbandry in basin of Khalkh river, but specific works have slackened by the local authorities. For example, enterprisers' request to take 50 thousand hectares for farming was rejected by the Citizens' Representative Khural of Khalkh gol soum (Dornod aimag), and pipelines in the soum's center have not been repaired yet due to partly completed design project.
By these and other reasons, orders have been given to related Ministers to make necessary financing so as to fully implement the “Khalkh gol” project and to run the repair.
